We are a center for spirituality in central Massachusetts that offers programming exploring matters of faith, prayer, and life.

Whether you are new to exploring the idea of a higher power or are a lifelong churchgoer, we seek to offer spaces and opportunities to explore the sacred and the ordinary in our lives.

B E H A V I O R  C O V E N A N T

unCommon Ground Behavior Covenant

When taking part in an unCommon Ground program or activity, in person or online, we invite participants to build community around the following commitments:

  • We gather together as seekers, all on our own spiritual journeys. As such, we listen to one another with respect and speak only for ourselves, using “I” rather than “you” statements.

  • Everyone’s voice has the right to be heard. If your voice is causing others not to be heard, please take a break and listen.

  • We strive to be open and to enter conversations with the intent of having our minds changed rather than the intent of changing the minds of others.

  • Maintain confidentiality. What is said in the community gathering stays there.

INTERIM EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Patrick Perkins is an Episcopal priest and the rector of St. Francis Church, Holden, MA. He has been serving as a priest and pastor for nearly 10 years, and has previously worked in various positions of quality and business management and served aboard submarines in the United States Navy. As a person with many different experiences, Pat is excited with the opportunity of seeking God in the varied and unexpected places of our lives. Traditional church and worship experiences are important and life-giving for many people, but God invites us into relationship in a myriad of different ways, and we hope you will find unCommon Ground to be a sacred space for exploring new relationships.
